Dress Up your Living Space

Incorporate your fashion sense into your living space so you can truly say you are living IN style. Make your apartment, house, condo, whatever look, feel, and have the same sort of vibe as your style. You can take any room and make it look great just by how you decorate it.  It’s almost like having a plain simple black dress.  You can make it look amazing by how you accessorize it.

Now if I could have my whole apartment be white I would.  I think when I finally do own a house evvvverything is going to be white with little pops of color here and there.  Ummm have you seen Rachel Zoe’s house?!

I’ll start with my bedroom because it’s my favorite.  The color scheme I have going on is white, black, and plum purple.  It’s funny because I choose this plum purple color for my room when I was in college and I still absolutely love it.  So I have a white comforter, black headboard, then added the plum purple with the pillows.  The picture above my bed is  a zebra…very simple colors black and white.  I did add some color in my vase with straws that are yellow, turquoise, pink, purple, and orange.  It’s the perfect touch of a little color. I also made this color scheme flow into my bathroom by having plum purple towels and flowers and my bathroom mats are zebra printed.

So my bedroom is 100% me.  The simplicity of color scheme is exactly what I like.  For my living space area my mom helped create the look so it has some more color to it.  Don’t get me wrong I still love it, however it’s not all black and white which is probably a good thing.

The first color you probably notice is the bright red curtain when you walk into my apartment.  Then I  have an ottoman with four different color pillows on them.  I am obsessed with these pillows because they are the perfect pop of color.  The zebra print also flows into this room because I have a fun, zebra printed chair with a colored pillow.  To finish this room, I bought a white rug. Okkkk so maybe this room is a little bit more me then I thought.

What’s great about your “interior” is that you can decorate with your clothing accessories.  By this I mean, don’t put all your clothing accessories tucked away in your closet. Have your armcandy and necklaces on a stand where people can see it. Put your headbands and hair ties in a clear vase so they add some color to the room.  Have your scarves hanging from a hook.  These are fun ideas because a. they make your accessories very accessible and you’ll be more likely to wear them since you’re looking at them everyday and b.  they are great little decorations.
